Increasing the Capacity of Snack Producers at the Morning Market on Jalan Magelang Karangwaru Tegalrejo Yogyakarta

Micro business actors, especially snack food sellers in traditional markets, often face challenges in improving the quality of snacks and expanding marketing. This service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of snack traders at Pasar Pagi Jalan Magelang, Yogyakarta, in making clean and safe products, diversifying products, and expanding marketing. The activity was attended by 24 participants from the Market Snack Traders Association (PPJP), consisting of families who make snacks. The method comprises lectures, discussions, and direct training on food safety, packaging, product development, and marketing. The research showed that the training participants were enthusiastic and participated actively. This training increased participants' knowledge regarding good production standards, product diversification, and the importance of attractive packaging to increase consumer attractiveness. Apart from this, participants also gain marketing skills to help expand sales reach. They were accompanied by increased product quality and more effective marketing efforts. Thus producing quality snack food and increasing turnover.
