Abstract

Hair is an appendage of the skin that must be cared for to maintain its health and the scalp. Dry treatment training is one way to provide skills for women who wear the hijab to care for their hair and scalp. This study analyzes how much dry treatment training influences the hair care skills of women who wear the hijab—ex-post facto research with a quantitative approach. Twenty-seven respondents from PKK Kapanewon Lendah mothers were involved in this study as samples. Data were collected through a questionnaire sheet with a Likert Scale 4 questionnaire instrument. Data analysis was carried out using regression analysis and SEM analysis. The results showed that dry treatment training significantly affected hair care skills for women who wear the hijab. The quality of the dry treatment training program can be improved in the future. The presentation of training materials can be integrated with videos and tutorial booklets. This integrated learning media can be used by PKK Kapanewon Lendah mothers to care for their hair independently along with the increasing awareness of caring for hair, especially for women who wear the hijab, and provide a stronger foundation for the development of more effective hair care methods that suit the needs of women who wear the hijab.
